2.0 Alpha - Squeak

[Under Construction]

Known Problems

I include here the change set file that allows you to file in the entire Pocket Smalltalk IDE.  The file also includes the base files needed to start building applications for the Palm OS.

The Pocket Smalltalk IDE is now fully integrated with the tools found within Squeak.  Pocket Smalltalk no longer has its own browsers, it uses the ones from Squeak itself.  When working on Pocket Smalltalk code, all of the classes and methods are Pocket Smalltalk ones and NOT Squeak ones.  This is important.  Not everything that is available in Squeak is available in Pocket Smalltalk.  If you'd like to know the technical details of how this is done, see How It Works.

All this said, the full power of Squeak can be used to enhancement the IDE of Pocket Smalltalk.  There are a few places where, from within Pocket Smalltalk, access to the Squeak environment can be had.  This will be documented as soon as possible.

Please note that this has only been tested on a 2.7 release of Squeak under Windows.  There are some changes that needed to be made to the system in order to make this work properly.  If you run into any problems, or have fixes then please e-mail them to the eGroups discussion forum.

See Instructions on how to install.
